You are ...Hey there...I actually have read the law. You are right it does specifically state "reasonable suspicion" To me thats kind of vague. I start to wonder if police officers will then look intentionally for a reason to pull someone over because of what they look like. My brother who went through the DPS academy said there is over a hundred different reasons by which you can pull someone over. What if there is an emergency and you forget your wallet and you get pulled over? If you look like you are from another country you will probably get taken to jail until you can prove you are a citizen. I just dont think people who are here legally should have to be in fear of that. No matter what the law says people will be racially profiled. People already are and its not a good idea in my opinon to give people even more of a reason to do so. I understand that immigrants can get a drivers license in New Mexico without proving citizenship. So I wonder how that will work when they get stopped while visiting Arizona? Guess we are all entitled to our own opinons. Thats what makes this country so great! Hope you guys and baby Levi are doing well!Lorraine M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11557324083653021162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974834139708912309.post-60711037546408406572010-06-01T21:57:01.248-07:002010-06-01T21:57:01.248-07:00Hi, Lorraine. The only time the police can ask anything is if they stop someone for a crime. Then they have to have reasonable suspicion, such as the person cannot talk in English or has no driver's license. They can't haul them to jail. They can only ask for proof of citizenship or identity. Enjoyed reading your post and your opinion. See you at Conqueror's Conference!abfoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07541632521555295907noreply@blogger.com
